Grilomentary – a documentary about Marko Grilc. Marko Grilc is today undoubtedly the most successful and visible Slovenian freestyle snowboarder. From winning the titles of Junior World champion, through the conflicts with his organization of that time and performances in high-budget snowboard films, to winning the most legendary contest ever – Air & Style in Insbruck, he has gone through ups and downs. In this time he was gaining experiences and getting stronger as a man and a sportsman. The life of a celebrity sucked him in, but he remained just the Grilo from BS, who looks ahead and directs all his energy into new projects and challenges.
After the return from the capital of Tirol, Marko doesn’t have time to rest. The projects that he has dreamt of for his whole life lay in front of him. Through everyday duties and happenings of one day, night and morning, we meet Marko as he is in relationship with his fellow people and we learn everything about his career as a professional snowboarder.
By genre the documentary is more a lifestyle serial than a personal portrait. Through it intertwine strictly documentary scenes with enacted ones, but they all follow real-life events and characters. Besides that, the charming actress Ula Furlan, in the role of a Swiss reporter, enchants the audience.
