Nina Pece is the manager of Kinodvor – city cinema in Ljubljana. She likes to take up adrenalin challenge in her professional as well as in personal life, in the past few years she’s an enthusiastic sport climber. After finishing cultural studies she’s worked as the director and head of film distribution as well as the director of Isola Cinema – Kino Otok Film Festival with focus on African, Asian, Latin American and Eastern European cinema. Working free-lance as the cultural producer and event & public relations manager she’s joined the organization of key film festivals in Slovenia such as LIFFe (Ljubljana International Film Festival), Festival of Slovenian Film, Animateka – International Animation Festival and Festival of European Film. She was a colaborator of Industry and Film Office at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival as well as International Film Festival Rotterdam. As the jury member she participated at the festival Der Neue Heimatfilm in Freistadt, Austria; at the first Mediterranian Film Festival in Split, Croatia and at Europa Cinemas Directors’ Fortnight Label in Cannes, France. In 2008 she’s been appointed as director/manager of Kinodvor cinema.
