The sea, the boulders, the green of the weeds. But when I look at the sea, which seems so huge, it makes me feel empty and anxious. Then I start climbing, feeling scared. I’ve managed to overcome the route, I’ve climbed up there and I think I need a little more time to get used to it. The truth is that I do enjoy it but I find it difficult to get started. I think I’ll come to enjoy it in time. I love climbing but the stress of competition, the stress of being up there, the stress of daily training means you need a form of escape. Psicobloc, also known as deep-water soloing, is a discipline, a new form of climbing which is becoming very popular at an international level. It holds a very prominent position and it receives a lot of media attention.
