The movies will be chosen in five (5) categories:

• Sport and action (competition),
• Sport and action – Short (competition),
• Nature and ecology (competition),
• Era,
• Special division; commercial application, (no competition part)

Sport and action (competition)

Sport as entertainment, way of life or achievement of personal limits are just a few variations of those movies. Presentation of disciplines, locations, ideology or the meaning of keeping in touch with sports is the main idea which authors usually use to create a film story. Regarding the topic of festival – Outdoor, we limited disciplines which will be screened on BOFF. There will be action from sports like; mountaineering, freeclimbing, ice climbing, kayaking, mountainbiking, windsurfing, wavesurfing, kitesurfing, hang-gliding, paragliding skydiving, B.A.S.E. jumping, caving, canyoning, skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing, trekking, skating, diving, slack line… Stories mostly present an individual, his/her personality in a particular moment or period in time and the confrontation with a technical or natural problem from the site. That reflects as a discovery of actor’s consciousness and his/her abilities and approach of achieving the limits set by all those parameters. The implementation of such project demands from authors a lot of technical knowledge and feeling for art in photography.

Sport and action – Short (competition)

We made that division because of better categorization and opportunities for authors. Less is more – is trend for those movies.

Nature and ecology (competition)

The present time becomes often too fast for a modern man to spend a day on a trip in forest or hiking in mountains to take a moment of beauties which they offer. Most of city residents are able to see such beautiful places or facts just via television or occasionally on such festivals. Thanks to eagerness and passion amongst us authors who are dedicated to filming those scenes. The mission of those movies is creating a chance for everybody to discover excellent views, the rotation of seasons and other processes in nature which are on the contrary hidden. The third edition of BOFF will offer to public movies from; nature, maintenance and preservation, ecology and the living beings within them. Beauties of our planet will be presented in different ways; special attention will be set on actual problems, surrounding us and our landscape. Many of them have appeared because of our fault.

Era

Era is new part of BOFF festival, it is uncompetitive division. It will involve all movies older than call for entries for competition parts demand. Also there will be movies which were played allready on older editions of BOFF festival. This part will also give some opportunity to movies from archive and they are important for that subject.

Special division – commercial application

In this part of BOFF we will show movies from uncompetitive class. Their fundamental goal is production of marketing. Such kind of advertising presentation is known for companies, agencies, associations or individuals in sport industry at most. The audience will have to watch some commercial applications which will be presented according to partners and organizers of BOFF. This category is not in competition part of festival.
