One day to go

A number of filmmakers and athletes to join us in Bovec starting tomorrow. Make sure you drop by jurta tent before/after the films. Free admission to all shows.

Tomorrow, on Tuesday December 28th, the 4th Bovec Outdoor Film Festival (BOFF) opens its doors with first of three festival nights. Multiple styles of skiing and snowboarding, climbing, whitewater, mountain biking, surfing, downhill skateboarding, paragliding and ultra triathlon … together with music and nature will be filling the screen of Bovec cultural center for three nights until Thursday December 30th.

There will be a number of filmmakers and athletes attending, among them two filmmaker-athlete teams: Austrian filmmaker Gerald Salmina and skier Axel Naglich will be representing Mount St. Elias while Slovenian director Domen Smerdel and snowboarder Marko Grilc will be here for Grilomentary which premiered just last week in Ljubljana.

Mayor of Bovec Mr. Danijel Krivec will open the festival Tuesday night at 8 pm.

Bovec cultural center will be gaining some space these days since a Mongolian tent (called jurta) will be erected just outside the entrance. Join us there for a photo exhibition and some pancakes.

The snow cubes for the Fantasy Snow Garden snow sculptures festival are well after a couple of days of warm weather so we are looking forward to see the teams transform them into art.

See you in “Boffec”!
