Learning on protection against avalanches and skiing technique on natural terrain:
Since freeride already has a lot of fans we prepared a three-day seminar for all those who want to learn more. In the seminar you will learn about the protection from avalanches, first aid and how to move in the snow outside of groomed ski slopes. You will learn from experts, competitors and doctor.

Day one:

Day two:
9:00 – 15.00 (Kanin)
- Getting to know the avalanche safety equipment and precautions
- Choosing the terrain

- Theory on protection from avalanches
- First aid
Day three:
9:00 – 15.00 (Kanin)
- The search and rescue technique
- Handling with avalanche safety equipment
- Helping the victim buried under the avalanche
- Choosing the terrain (presented by all mentors)

For whom: The workshop is suitable for all who want to upgrade their skiing or snowboarding knowledge with the theory and practice needed for skiing or snowboarding outside of ski resorts. Prior knowledge is not necessary, but the participants are considered to be good skiers or snowboarders. The seminar is suitable also for other winter sports activites (mountaineering, sledding…)
Location: Bovec town and the surroundings of ski resort Kanin. The afternoon lectures will take place in Bovec where participants be offerd by special deals on accommodation. The practical part and the demonstration of the skills, will take place in the vicinity of the Kanin ski slopes. In the evening hours you are all kindly invited to Bovec to the screenings of the films at the Bovec Outdoor Film Festival.
Equipment: It is necessary to have all the avalanche safety equipment (shovel, avalanche probe, avalanche transceiver). We will also provide some equipment for all those who don’t own it yet.
Mentors: We work together with Mountain guides , members of Mountain Rescue Association and the best freeride competitors will also join us.
The objectives: The participants learn about the dangers of the avalanches, the precautions and rescuing the person buried under the snow. They get to know with the avalanche safety equipment, its use and also learn how to offer first aid to the avalanche victim.
Price: 95,00 EUR.
(the price does not include skipass and accommodation – call us to get special offers). The number of the participants is limited, but a minimum of ten persons is required for the implementation of the seminar.
All participants of the workshop wiil receive a gift.
