Mateja Zorn
Already when writing the thesis at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana Mateja Zorn knew that she wants to work in the field of culture. She gained her first experience in the field of intercultural management in Kinoatelje in Nova Gorica, where she still leads programmes as Film for Youth and “Darko Bratina Award. A tribute to the vision”.
In the years 2002 – 2004 she was, together with her colleagues, preparing a 100 min TV show for TV Slovenija about audio-visual culture named Terminal. Her next working experience was from the field of film distribution at the cinema Slovenska kinoteka, together with Slovenska kinoteka she also participated at the launch and opening of the Museum of Slovenian Film Actors in Divača (Muzej slovenskih filmskih igralcev). She is a co-founder and co-worker for programme at the international film festival Kino Otok.
Currently she’s gaining new experience in spreading the culture of film between the youth also as a mentor of film clubs under the auspices of Ustanova Silvana Furlana (Silvano Furlan Foundation). She’s also striving to form an educational platform in the field of film dedicated to youth in wider Gorica cross-border area.
