The winners of 6th edition of Bovec Outdoor Festival are Congo (sports and action), www.h (nature and ecology), Wild One (best Slovenian) and Cold (people’s choice).
After three days of screenings the sixth edition of Bovec Outdoor Festival ended with the award presentation.
The best film in the Sport and action category is Congo – The Grand Inga Project, signed by the South African wildwater kayaker Steve Fisher who led the first successful attempt of descent on an extremely dangerous section of this African river.
The jury awarded the title of the best film in the Nature and Ecology category to Slovenian film www.h (Why? Where? When? How?) by director Jasna Hribernik. The 22-minute art-documentary on ecology, supported by Slovenian Biology Institute, unites science and visual communication.
Festival organizer chose the film Wild One by Jure Breceljnik as best Slovenian film. The 88-minute film is a portrait of professional climber Philippe Ribiere who was born with disabilities.
People’s choice went to film Cold by authors Cory Richards and Anson Fogel, showing the first successful winter attempt on Pakistan’s Gasherbrum II peak.
