Boštjan Mašera
Boštjan Mašera (Slovenia) works as a freelancer film and television director. He is primarily directing fiction-documentary films and other TV programs for the Slovenian National Radio and Television and for independent production houses. Even his amateur and study films and TV fiction etudes participated in many festivals in Slovenia and abroad and were often awarded. He was a member of the international jury at the 7th International Student Film Festival in Tel Aviv in 1998. Being closely connected with mountains he created a few films with mountaineering and alpine themes (The Altars of Špik, 2005; Manaslu – The Path to the Mountain, the Path to a Friend, 2007; Svalbard – Spitzbergen’s Spikes, 2007; Forests of Slovenia – series of five documentaries, 2008; Those Beautiful Years, 2010). Some of them have been awarded at the Slovenian and foreign mountain festivals.
