We present you the Jury of BOFF 2013
The four person jury of this year’s festival consists of Karmen Tomšič, Stefano De Franceschi, Boštjan Mašera and Klemen Premrl.
Karmen Tomšič is a film editor, camerawoman, director and cinema operator. She lives in Bolzano, Italy and has been working for Slovenia’s most important film and advertising festivals, many national and private TV broadcasters, film studios and advertising agencies. She is an avid skier, snowboarder, scuba diver, climber and parachutist.
Stefano De Franceschi is a journalist and cemeraman at TV Koper Capodistria Italian programme. As author and host of different shows about travel and tourism he created more than 300 reportages and documentaries in 100 different countries and on five continents and won ECO and ADUTEI international awards.
Boštjan Mašera is a freelance film and television director, mainly directing fiction-documentary films and other TV programs for the Slovenian National Radio and Television and for independent production houses. Being closely connected with mountains he created a few films with mountaineering and alpine themes (The Altars of Špik; Manaslu – The Path to the Mountain, the Path to a Friend; Svalbard – Spitzbergen’s Spikes). Some of them have been awarded at the Slovenian and foreign mountain festivals.
Klemen Premrl first tied to a climbing rope at the age of twelve. Two years later he was already the youngest climber in Slovenia manage to climb 7c. Soon, Klemen found ice climbing as the most joyful art of climbing and he is among the world’s best in this climbing art. He is also an amateur filmmaker.
