Again, lots of action outside the screenings
In three festival days you will also see a photo exhibition, lectures and music events.
Besides the 28 film screenings you will once again witness a number of side events.
Once again we will open with a photo exhibition. Photographer Aleš Fon, also an experienced whitewater kayaker, is specializing in Soča river views. The selected photographs were all made between dusk and dawn and the exhibition is titled: “Night has its powers”. It opens in Stergulc House on Saturday 27th at 5 pm.
Lectures
We have three lectures this year. Tomaž Praunseis, a sketeboarder and filmmaker, will introduce us to his “Skate with your heart” benefit on Sunday 28th starting at 5 pm. At 6 Jure Batagelj will tell us about his website, dedicated to his late uncle Slavko Svetličič – Slavc. In 2015 it will be 20 years since Slavc, one of the best alpinists of his time, disappeared while descending from Gasherbrum IV.
On Monday 29th Klemen Premrl, an established ice climber, will hold a lecture on the most difficult combined ice climbs. All the lectures are taking place in the large hall, the one also hosting the screenings.
Books
Traditionally we are organizing a book fair. The stand will be open every day from 5 to 10 pm.
Music
DJ’s Nino and Dante take over the courtyard of Stergulc House Saturday night after the screenings and Monday night the pan-European street musician Neoromantix grabs his guitar in the spot.
